Bas Creemers is the Managing Director of Belron International in the Netherlands, part of a global group that has been a strategic partner of Afrika Tikkun since its founding in 1994.
Having engaged with Afrika Tikkun through his professional role, Bas has developed a deep appreciation for the resilience and spirit of South Africa and its people. He lives in the Netherlands with his family, who have all been inspired by the impact of Afrika Tikkun’s work.
He believes the energy and determination of young people supported by Afrika Tikkun deserve committed, long-term support, and that the experience of giving is often far more rewarding than expected.
Roel Janssen began his professional journey as a top-level football player in the Netherlands before transitioning into finance. He holds degrees in economics and controlling and has since built a career of over 20 years in senior financial roles across various sectors.
Born and based in Maastricht, Roel is married and a proud father of three daughters.
He is honoured to contribute his financial expertise to Afrika Tikkun and is passionate about supporting initiatives that create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of young people.
Marie-Chantal Canoy is a legal counsel with expertise in contract and corporate law, compliance, and governance. She has served as Group Legal Counsel Benelux for Belron/Carglass® since 2016, drawing on a background both in private practice and in-house legal roles.
She lives in Den Bosch with her partner, daughter, and three stepchildren.
Marie-Chantal is committed to social justice and believes that every child deserves a fair and equal start in life—values she sees reflected in Afrika Tikkun’s mission.
Yaw Peprah brings broad experience across private equity, venture capital, investment banking, and strategic leadership. He has held senior roles at institutions such as the National Empowerment Fund, Standard Bank, and Wesgro, and recently worked as Investor Relations Manager at Goodwell Investments. He is also the co-founder of the Silibona Educational Trust, which supports young South African women in higher education.
Born in Ghana and raised in South Africa, Yaw studied Information Systems and Accounting at the University of Cape Town, qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, and remains a passionate advocate for inclusive development.
Inspired by his parents—both educators—he believes in the transformative power of education and sees Afrika Tikkun as a vehicle to help build a more equitable society.
Robert Schiering is an entrepreneur, CEO, and business development leader with expertise spanning net-zero housing, energy, and agile software. He played a significant role in TomTom’s growth and IPO and has worked with Deloitte across South Africa, the U.S., and the Netherlands. A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a diploma in Marketing Management, Robert combines financial acumen with a passion for innovation and social impact.
He lives in the Netherlands and is dedicated to developing people and ideas with purpose.
Robert believes that investing in education and youth development is one of the most powerful ways to support South Africa’s future, and he sees Afrika Tikkun’s Cradle to Career model as an ideal way to do just that.
Stanley Anyeti is a seasoned investment and sustainable banking professional with over two decades of experience advising and financing projects across Africa, Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia. He serves on multiple sustainability-focused boards and lectures at European universities on sustainable finance and corporate social responsibility.
Originally from Ghana, Stanley was deeply influenced by his father’s work providing medical care to underserved communities—a legacy that continues to shape his commitment to development and equity.
